What do you do?

I make things beautiful. I organize information so that it’s easy to understand. I translate complex processes into jellybeans. I combine right and left brain thinking. I create things that make people smile. And I deliver on time, within scope, and under budget.

what are you working on right now?

Two great projects: Promoting online shops for a large decorated merchandizing company, and creating a new site for paid content.

what tools do you use daily?

I always have Illustrator or Photoshop open, or both. I usually have a dozen tabs open in my browser with research and ideas.

Perfect but late or Good and on time?

It really depends on the project, the deadline, and what’s most important to the client. You have to manage your time and balance your workload. The goal is really perfect AND on time. But if things don’t go as planned, communication is key.

How do you respond to criticism?

Criticism is part of the job. Careful listening and a clear understanding of the project up front can minimize negative feedback, but criticism is healthy and necessary to get to the end goal. I respond with positive ideas and suggestions.

Have you ever managed people?

Yes, I’ve managed several different teams. Remote creative including designers, copywriters, coders, freelancers and vendors. I gave direction, set budgets, approved hours, led and mentored. Corporate in-house including creative, client support, billing and IT, complete with issue escalation, salary planning and annual reviews.

What makes you unique?

I’m not afraid to take a leap of faith. That doesn’t mean reckless or irresponsible. It means that I’m willing to put everything on the line for something I truly believe in. It makes me a loyal friend, a dedicated employee, and a bit of an adventurer. It translates into great life experiences that I can draw upon for inspiration or motivation.

I'm open to to new opportunities, and I'd love to help with your next project.
